Parenting Classes

Parenting classes are taught weekly. They meet the court-ordered parenting class requirements. The primary focus is on improving relationships between parents and children. The program uses the "Parents Helping Parents" model that includes the following topics:

• Communicating with your children
• Non-violent parenting
• Setting limits with children
• Patience and understanding children's needs
• School involvement
• Discipline vs. punishment
